Castle Hopping in Munich, Germany | leJNdary Travels

You are not human if you won’t fall in love with the real-life Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty Castles!

John and I came to Munich, Germany to see the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle. I got interested after reading articles that Disney’s Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty castles were modeled after King Ludwig’s Neuschwanstein. And yes it’s true! It is indeed magical, well except for the 40-minute hike. (We aren’t fans…lols)

The view of Neuschwanstein from the road is truly remarkable! I almost forgot that it took us 35-40 minutes to see it up close. However, it is just sad that it rained that day, yet the whole experience is memorable.

“A before and after of that long hike. Here’s me trying to fight the tiredness, and my husband starting to hate taking pictures.”

The Linderhof Palace is one of the few Bavarian Palaces and it is the smallest of the three palaces built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Smaller compared to Neuschwanstein, it is still beautiful and it’s interior is charming. Unfortunately, taking pictures aren’t allowed inside Ludwig’s palaces.

After all that castle hopping, John and I enjoyed the rest of Munich watching concerts, roaming the streets, and eating from one restaurant to another.

John is channeling his inner James Reid in the streets of Munich.
