Influenster Middle East x MaxFactor Review

Influenster Middle East x MaxFactor Review

Influenster is finally here in the Middle East!

Influenster is an online platform where you can read and review products from different categories. It does not only includes makeup and skincare reviews but there are also for pets, hair, food, etc. Every so often they send out Voxboxes to selected members of the platform. And these Voxboxes contain products for them to review. You don’t need to be an influencer, blogger or Youtuber to receive the box because this is open for everyone.

And for their very first VoxBox in the Middle East, Influenster collaborated with Max Factor X Arabia in featuring the Max Factor Pro Color Correcting Sticks. I was so ecstatic to be chosen to be one of the first Influensters to receive a Voxbox to review. Last month I received a package containing MaxFactor products and below are the step guide and my thought on each of the products.

MAX FACTOR X Influenster Voxbox

Max Factor’s color corrector (CC) sticks are the star of the box. I never tried using color correcting products that’s why I’m pretty excited to play with these goodies. I received three CC sticks (green, yellow, and pink) that have different purposes. CC sticks are used before applying the foundation to achieve a flawless looking skin.

According to the site, the green stick is used to “neutralize redness, such as blemishes, blotchiness, and broken veins.” The yellow stick, on the other hand, is used to “neutralize purple tones such as under-eye circles.” While the pink stick “evens out dark spots on lighter skin tones.”

My Thoughts: I’m honestly not sure if I like or hate the product. Yes, I was excited to use these sticks but maybe I expected too much on the final results. I’m not a fan of the formula of the product. It is hard to blend and tugs my skin during the application. Don’t get me wrong, it does its job and somehow hides my imperfections but it is not as much as I wanted it to be. I think I’ll still be sticking with my concealers than these sticks.

The Max Factor 3in1 All Day Flawless Foundation is built with primer and concealer. This is a plus point for those, like me, hate carrying a lot of products in their makeup bags. And because of its built-in primer and concealer, it gives your skin that flawless look. The foundation has a light matte finish.

My Thoughts: This foundation is perfect for combination and oily skin. I love how lightweight the foundation is and gives off a stunning finish. You can use any tools in applying the foundation, but I think using a damp sponge is the best choice (I used both brush and sponge). One of the drawbacks is that I received a lighter shade but it is totally fine because it is easy to blend and it melts into my skin.

Influenster sent two shades of pan sticks, one is for highlights while the other is for contour. Pan stik foundation has a silky-matte finish that covers and colors the skin. The swivel-up stick makes the application of the product easily. It is best applied with sponge according to the site.

My Thoughts: I DON’T LIKE THE HIGLIGHTER/CONCEALER in True Beige. When I applied it to my skin, my foundation did move, exposing my pores under my eyes. This is the main reason why I feel that I won’t be using this product again. Contradicting to this, I love the contour foundation because it melts perfectly in my skin.

The Creme Puff Blush is perfect for all skin types and gives a flawless matt finish with a soft, subtle glow. This can be used alone on top of your favorite moisturizer for fresher base or on the top of your go-to foundation.

My Thoughts: Lately I’m into collecting different blushes and I’m not complaining about receiving a new one for my collection. This is one of my favorite products from the Voxbox and I have all the praises for this.
